Phase two means businesses like bars, restaurants and casinos can return to regular hours, also with 75 percent capacity and physical distancing “as much as possible.” Gyms have the same 75 percent capacity, and under-the-mask services will return to barber shops, spas and tattoo parlours, which can now operate at full capacity. Physical distancing is recommended “as much as possible.” At formal events hosted by recognized businesses, performances, sports, movie theatres, meetings, weddings, funerals and more, the limit will be 75 percent of total capacity, up to 5,000 people. The limit on informal gatherings (a group of people being near each other without masks) stays at phase one’s 25 people indoors, but increases to 50 people outdoors. The first change will come on February 28, when phase one will change to no longer require proof of vaccination at non-essential activities and events. We all know what to do to protect ourselves and one another, and it’s time to get back to the people and things we love.” “Now, it’s time to stop pulling the big levers, like broad restrictions, and shift to personal actions and responsibility. “The restrictions put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic are a balancing act between keeping people safe and preventing other harms, and we knew we wouldn’t need them forever,” says premier Tim Houston in a Wednesday afternoon statement announcing the changes. Instead of the previously planned phases that were “expected to last about a month” each-taking us from the February 14 start of phase one until phase three sometime in April-we’ll now hit phase three on March 21. They had even spoke to the customer service offer for me on the phone and demanded for a reissue of new ticket but to no avail.Nova Scotia just put its three-phase reopening plan on a fast track. The only people who were helpful were the hotel staff that told me this isn’t my fault because it isn’t stated clearly anywhere on the instructions in the booking. The person at the NS counter also pushed me back to the phone customer service. They could not issue me a new ticket nor refund me hence this bad review. So why the heck is NS or Discover Holland not doing something about it at least include this in the instructions for poor tourists who are clueless. Many other tourist Netherlands transport tickets start to be valid upon first check in, who would know that this ticket works otherwise if it is not stated! If it was stated, I would not have purchased it in advance in the first place and just buy it on the spot at the train station! When speaking to the customer service on the phone, she also said that this is a common problem that many people have faced. NOWHERE ON THE INSTRUCTIONS did it state that it becomes valid at the point of exchange. Turns out the moment I exchanged for the train ticket at about 9pm at Schiphol airport, it became valid for only that day!! To my horror, I only realised it 2 days later and had to miss my day trip to Giethoorn. However, as Utrecht was not on the list of stations, I changed it for the train ticket at Schiphol airport after arriving in Netherlands 2 days before. I was planning this 1-day ticket for a day trip to Giethoorn from Utrecht 2 days later. Their instructions listed a few train stations where I could exchange my booking barcode for an actual train ticket. So I bought a NS off peak 1-day Holland Travel ticket from “Discover Holland” website. NS international and Discover Holland provided VERY LOUSY instructions on exchange of train tickets. In order to join a GroupActivities session with Safari, a user with your iPhone or iPad app will need to create a GroupSessionActivity with a fallbackURL that points to your website. It's going to be really great! So, what will it take to add GroupActivities support to the movie trailers website? Before we take a look under the hood of Safari - at the new Web APIs available in Safari 15 - let's talk about how to get your app ready to work with Safari through GroupActivities. I can pause, play, and even seek the video here in Safari, and everyone else in the session will see those same commands reflected in their local video at the same time. When I click that notification, Safari will be launched with a URL for the shared content, and when Sam starts playing the trailer, it will play here in Safari at the same time. It will give me the option to join the session in Safari. When they start playing a new trailer in that app during our call, I’ll be invited to watch that trailer through a notification. Sam loves watching movie trailers, so I’ve asked them to help me test this new Movie Trailers app. I’m on a FaceTime call with my friend Sam. And here’s how it should look once I add support for GroupActivities in that web page as well. But my movie trailers app also has a website. I’ve already added support for GroupActivities to my app, and that lets friends watch movie trailers together over FaceTime. And on macOS Monterey, you can bring that same experience - along with your great iPhone and iPad apps - to Mac using Catalyst. In such a case, you would need to stop other service temporary and restart it after starting Apache. An easy reproducible way for this error is starting Skype before starting Apache. This is usually because some other service is running at the port required by Apache which is 80 by default. Sometimes you would experience that even after clicking Start button several times, Apache is not starting. To exit from XAMPP, click on Exit button in XAMPP Control Panel. I could not put my finger on why this was the case. While at times it would work, many times it did not. I have proven this to myself in years past by loading the right rear tire more and more trying to achieve more traction. So this idea of side bite and trying to make the grooves work into the dirt by applying more weight to the right rear for traction doesn't make much sense. Wouldn’t you agree? After warm ups, or maybe into the heat races, the tire's grooves can no longer work into the dirt, at least not much because the dirt is harder than the rubber. However, the only time this understanding of side bite really applies is when the tire grooves (paddles) can work into the dirt (water), which is when the track is wet or slightly wet, in this condition traction is not a problem. Like a paddle in the water, the further you push the paddle down into the water, the more force you can put through the paddle to propel the boat. To the typical dirt racer, side bite is the idea that the car is rolling to the right, forcing the tires to dig into the dirt providing more traction. Makes sense and explains why the adjustments work. The idea of side bite, the tires digging into the dirt when sliding, then became someone's reason of why these changes needed to be made. It was discovered that the right side tires needed to be moved in and the center of gravity needed to be moved up. Many changes need to be made to get it to work to the best of its potential when sliding on dirt. Dirt track racers have never paid attention to these formulas and principles because when you take a car that handles well on asphalt, it does not do very well on dirt. On asphalt, without wings, there are lots of books written based on the laws of physics, with skid pad tests to back them up. Although I think I have it clear in my head, writing it down is another issue. Not until after reading tons of books, talking to hundreds of racers, thinking obsessively about it, meditating on it, collecting/analyzing gobs of data, and racing for 34 years that I think I may have a big T.O.E for dirt track racing. We may think we know or we may develop some theory of why they do what they do, but do we really understand? It has been my life long search to understand all that I can about dirt track chassis setup. Although we may know how adjustments affect the car, we do not always know why the adjustments do what they do. A theory to explain why the adjustments we make on our race car have the effects they do. Theoretical physics is the field of cutting edge theory in this area. Einstein himself died trying to develop a big T.O.E. Ever since Albert Einstein's theory of general relativity, physicist have been trying to tie the two fields together, to devise a theory that fully explains all known physical phenomena into a Theory Of Everything (T.O.E.). But the two fields of study have great contradictions among them, things seem to work differently on an atomic level than they do at our level. There are proven formulas for Newtonian physics (basic understanding of how things move) and there are formulas for quantum physics (how atoms and particles move). I have been a dirt track racer for life, attending races since I was 3. Please read this article first then read Shocks: A Mystery No More. I have another article to go along with this one. Paul was astral projecting when he visited the third heaven however, this is not borne out by the saint himself who claims he doesn’t know if he was in his body or out. Some have gone so far as to suggested that St. Officials claimed that Xiangzi left the banquet room just as the sleeping Xiangzi woke up and both merged into one. Ancient Egyptians believed the soul could hover outside the body and the Chinese mythological figure named Xiangzi was reportedly seen in a banquet room at the same time that he was seen sleeping on the ground and “snoring like thunder” in another room. It has also been a part of many cultures around the globe, from Inuit, Amazonian and Japanese cultures to ancient Hindu and Chinese writings. New Agers aren’t the only people who believe in astral projection. The idea of traveling through these planes tickled the fancy of New Agers who believe people can train themselves to astral project or send their “light body” (aka soul) to these other planes where they can explore ancient civilizations and connect with other realms to gain spiritual insight. (There is no evidence that these different bodies and planes actually exist.) It is also a place where angels, spirits, and other immaterial beings exist, as well as souls who in the process of reincarnation. Some people experience an OBE when they are near death, which has come to be known as a “near death experience.”ĭuring astral projection, theosophists claim the body can travel through the astral planes or astral world which is where consciousness goes after physical death. OBEs can also occur in people who are under the influence of anesthesia or while in a semi-conscious state due to some kind of trauma. It can occur in dreams, daydreams, and in lucid dreaming (a state in which one is “awake” while dreaming). Out of body experiences (OBEs) are similar, and are characterized by a feeling of departing the body and observing oneself from outside the physical body. During the trip, it allegedly remains linked to the physical body by a very fine elastic silver cord (this has never been proven). In astral projection, the astral body (which Blavatsky claims is the seat of feeling and desire) leaves the physical body and is able to travel independently. Theosophists, who invented the term “astral projection,” posit that the astral body is one of seven bodies that we all possess – one for each of the seven planes of reality. The brightness level seemed more akin to candlelight than to the intrusive modern glare produced by the LED- or LCD-backlit displays on other clocks we tested. When you press the button, the clock illuminates just enough to make the face legible (a big plus for those of us who like to peek at the time before we have any real intention of waking up). The clock’s sole button consolidates the light and snooze functions (doling out extra sleep in four-minute increments), and we found it effortless to use, even with our eyes closed. The Riki’s prominent face has half-inch-tall numerals and large hour and minute arms, so it’s easy to read-even in dim light and from a distance. The only alarm clock among our picks with a design-award pedigree, the sedate beechwood Riki was designed by Japanese modernist Riki Watanabe, whose work was known for being simple yet functional. Why it’s great: If you want a dependable alarm clock with a timeless analog design that’s dead silent and easy to use, the Lemnos Riki checks all of those boxes. The developers recently added Bluetooth speaker functionality and are promising Spotify connectivity and additional sounds as features that are “coming soon.” We’ll update this guide when-and if-these features appear. For instance, we discovered one night that there were a few more soothing classical compositions to wake up to than we’d had the day before and that alarm-scheduling options had been expanded. But on a regular basis this clock can get additional features delivered via Wi-Fi updates. The Loftie isn’t “smart” like other smart alarm clocks, in that you won’t be served the news or the weather with the aid of a voice assistant. The two other buttons are for setting the alarm, accessing brightness and volume settings, setting the duration of the sleep timer, and choosing alarm tones. You won’t be able to read using the light, but it’s bright enough for when you’re fumbling for your glasses or going to the bathroom in the middle of the night. There’s an adjustable night-light hidden at the base that’s easily turned on and off, using the large button on top of the clock (it also works as the snooze button). We also liked the clock’s all-black exterior (it comes in a white and black option, too), which is free of distracting lights or branding. But it’s clear, and it automatically sets the time once connected to a Wi-Fi network. Of clocks we’ve tested, this one’s display isn’t the largest or the brightest. And though the clock’s single-speaker output can be a bit tinny for playing music, it can get surprisingly loud and is just fine for alarm tones and answering Google Assistant prompts. Fortunately, the clock’s two microphones (one in the front, the other in the back) are very sensitive and able to discern commands, even when we used a hushed volume at night. To set the alarm, adjust the volume, or turn on the night-light, it was always much easier to summon help with a “hey, Google …” instead. There’s also a tap at the top to enable the snooze feature, but it sometimes required another touch to register. Unless you’re looking at them from above, the buttons are discernible only by touch, and I often fumbled at night or in the early morning while trying to turn on music or adjust the volume. Even though the clock is outfitted with four evenly distributed buttons-for volume, turning on music, and the alarm settings-they are obscured from view due to the angled wedge design. Most everything this alarm clock can do is hidden, accessed using its built-in Google Assistant voice controls or with the Google Home app. |
